WHAT IS THE AHL?

The AHL is Australia's premier national domestic hockey competition and is widely recognised as one of the strongest and most competitive national leagues in the world.

The AHL provides an important platform for aspiring Australian representatives and acts as the ‘stepping stone' for hockey's future international stars.

Participation in the AHL is a selection requirement for all current and aspiring national squad members.  So the opening Round will see some fierce and passionate performances as players stake their claim for a place in the 2010 Commonwealth Games team, through their performance in this season's AHL.

2010 FORMAT

The 2010 AHL will see a revised format for both the men and women's competitions.
