RESULTS
NSW 12 def South Australia 2 (half time 4-0)
Goals
NSW - Anthony Doolan, Blake Govers 3, Christopher Jurd, Hunter Medcalf 3, Lachlan Sharp 2, Nathanael Stewart, Dillan Hayden
SA - Dalton Casey 2
In their 12-2 defeat of SA, the NSW U13 Boys were out to a strong start with early goals on the board. They were sitting at 10-0 before a lapse in concentration conceded two goals, but was recovered for the final score of 12-2 with Govers and Metcalf both taking a hat-trick.
Despite losing two players to injury, replacements have been bought in (Hayden Dillon and Isaac Farmilo) and the team is well rounded and poised in a good position for the upcoming matches.
NSW 12 def ACT 1 (half time 4-1)
Goals
NSW - Christopher Jurd, Isaac Farmilo, Hunter Medcalf 2, Blake Govers 6, Dillon Hayden, Zach Sharp
ACT - Harrison Elliot
NSW had a very strong win today with a good all round performance. NSW striker Blake Govers led the way with 6 goals but a strong performance from the whole team saw 6 different players get on the board and a grinding first half lead into a floodgate of goals in the second thanks to sustained pressure.
NSW 7 def VIC 1
Goals
NSW - Isaac Farmilo, Hunter Medcalf 2, Blake Govers 3, Cameron Parsons
VIC - Daniel Van Der Merwe
A good win showing the strength in attack once again, pleasing for coaches. Victory by the same scoreline as QLD defeated Victoria which sets up the big match up in the next round between the two front running states. Rest day today will allow the boys to relax before the big clash!
NSW 2 def QLD 1
Goals
NSW - Jacob Purser, Blake Govers
QLD - Jarrod Carseldine
QLD had the early run of play, getting on the board first and applying pressure to NSW having studied their game in previous matches. At 0-1 down at half time however NSW had begun to swing the momentum their way and by the second half were able to gain control. From there the goals came with Jacob Purser and Blake Govers putting two away in the middle stages of the half to take a strong and delightful 2-1 win and maintain 1st place.
