The Hockey NSW Centre of Development (COD) is Hockey NSW’s largest annual participation program. The program is open to boys and girls across NSW aged between 10 - 14 years (born between 2011-2015) who are new or existing to club Hockey.
The COD program provides an opportunity for boys and girls to participate in fun and engaging Hockey activities and games, to enhance their Hockey skills in a social, fun and enjoyable spring – summer program.
At the end of the COD program all participants are invited to a three-day fun games-based event - New Balance Regional Challenge for 2026 will be held from Friday the 27th February to Sunday the 1st March the location will be announced shortly.
It is recommended that children aged up to and including having already turned 12 in 2025, should register in the 12 age group particularly those who are new to hockey. The 14 age group is recommended for all 13 and 14 year olds and some of the more experienced younger players may also be suitable to register for this age group.
If you would like to discuss the option of your child participating in a different age group so they can be with their friends, please contact us at: cod@hockeynsw.com.au
