Glen Pearce Announced as the New Chair of the NSW Men's Masters Hockey Committee

Published Tue 28 Mar 2023

Hockey NSW are pleased to announce Glen Pearce as the new Chair of the NSW Men's Masters Hockey Committee. As a senior business leader and Agile executive coach, there are many capabilities that Pearce posses that will serve NSW Masters Hockey in the coming years.

Pearce's hockey journey started in Tamworth juniors where he was introduced to Masters hockey and State championships. Having played for NSW Masters at the 40’s, 45’s and 50’s age groups, he has a desire to grow the game and see NSW back on top at the championship level.

"Now is the right time to re-establish dialogue with the entire Masters community, to listen and work together with them to reinvigorate Masters Hockey across NSW.

We have a proud history and it will be my endeavour with the committee to strengthen performance and relationships and to simplify processes and decision making by the committee. Many have and continue to work hard for this community and we want to build on top of the good things that have already been achieved.

Outcomes I would like to see achieved are NSW back in the number one position at the National Masters championships and an increased number of NSW players selected to represent Australia and that all NSW players enjoy their representative experiences", said Pearce.

Hockey NSW CEO, Emma Highwood, welcomes Pearce as the new Chair of NSW Men's Masters Hockey Committee.

"On behalf of Hockey NSW we're happy to welcome Glen Pearce as the new Chair of NSW Men's Masters Hockey Committee. Glen's passion and capabilities will assist us to grow Masters Hockey and engage with the whole community. I'm looking forward to working with Glen to take the Men's Masters forward", said Highwood.

Hockey NSW are excited to see the positive impact Glen will have towards the NSW Men's Masters Hockey Committee. Congratulations Glen!
