NSW Country Stars Selected for International Tours

After a strong showing at the recent Country Championships in Rockhampton, Hockey NSW is proud to announce the selection of players from its successful Men’s and Women’s Country teams for upcoming international tours. 

12 athletes from the Silver medal-winning NSW Country Women’s team and Nine athletes from the Bronze medal-winning NSW Country Men’s team have earned selection. 

The squads have been divided into U21 and Senior teams, with both age groups set to represent Australia overseas across the next 18 months. 

The U21 Men’s and Women’s teams will tour Indonesia in December 2025, with matches scheduled in Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya. 

Meanwhile, the Senior Men’s and Women’s teams will travel to Malaysia in April 2026, where they will play in Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Penang. 

These selections highlight the strength of NSW Country hockey, with players now set to test themselves against international competition while proudly representing their state and country abroad.
