Vale Michael Nobbs

Hockey NSW extends our thoughts and condolences to the family and friends of Michael Nobbs upon the sad news of his passing.
Michael was an internationally renowned player and coach, having played for the Kookaburras from 1979 to 1985 (including the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles) and coached the Indian Men's team at the 2012 London Olympics. He moved to NSW in 2013 and coached the NSW Waratahs at the 2014 AHL, while his daughter Kaitlin played junior and senior hockey for NSW before moving to Perth as part of her selection to the Hockeyroos. Michael was heavily involved with local and state hockey in NSW, sharing his deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the game.
