Volunteer Recognition Awards

We understand that Hockey wouldn’t be the Hockey we know and love without the thousands of amazing volunteers across the state we are lucky to have in our sport, and to help in recognising some of these true super stars, Hockey NSW are excited to launch the 2023 Hockey Volunteer Recognition Awards.
How to Nominate
To nominate an amazing volunteer from your club or association just follow the steps below. You can nominate one volunteer per each category. The winners will be announced during Volunteers Week (15 – 21 May 2023) with NSW Pride prizes up for grabs.
Award Categories:
- All-rounder (administrators, club marketing, groundskeeper)
- Coaches/ Manager
- Best Supporter (siblings, parents, grandparents, guardian, animals, friends, family)
- Game Day Volunteer (canteen, BBQ etc)
- Match officials (umpires, scorers)
How to enter:
Send us your nomination via email (riahn.m@hockeynsw.com.au)
or social media by tagging @hockeynewsouthwales on Facebook or Instagram and use the hashtag #hnswvolunteer.
If you are submitting your nomination via social media, please answer the 4 questions below in either video or written format, can be as a post or a story.
If you are submitting via email, please send your nomination/s to riahn.m@hockeynsw.com.au including the answers to the 4 questions below and a photo of the nominee:
- Who are you nominating
- What Club/Associations are they from
- Which category are you nominating the nominee for
- Why are you nominating them

2023 NSW Pride Supporter Membership and Merchandise Packs
Dates:
Nominations open on 9:00am Saturday 29 April, 2023 and close 6:00pm Monday 8 May, 2023. Winners will be announced by NSW Pride Players during the week of the 15 - 21 May, 2023 via Hockey NSW social channels.
