Hockey NSW like so many businesses are in unchartered waters as we deal with the very real challenges presented by COVID-19 (coronavirus). The impact on the sporting sector has been substantial.

As a result, Hockey NSW is undertaking a series of measures to ensure the survival of Hockey NSW and to preserve as many jobs as possible longer term.

From Easter, Hockey NSW operations will be scaled down and all Hockey NSW staff will be working reduced hours.

This week has been difficult as we worked through the changes with our passionate and hardworking staff.

While the full impact of COVID-19 is yet to be realised, Hockey NSW is steadfastly committed to overcoming the challenges that lay ahead and returning as many people as possible to their previous roles.

At this point in time, Hockey NSW will be prioritising our energies into planning for the resumption of community hockey competitions around the State when it becomes safe and practical. We will be in constant contact with our Associations and Clubs over the coming weeks and offering any support we can to ensure we get our hockey community back out onto the field when the appropriate time comes.

During this difficult time, we ask for your patience as it may take a little longer than normal to respond.

The hockey family is a resilient one, and now more than ever we need to stick together, look after each other and most importantly stay safe.
