Registrations are now open for the 2025/2026 Centre of Development (COD), Hockey NSW’s biggest annual program for young players across the state.

Whether your child is new to the sport or already has experience, COD offers a fantastic opportunity for kids aged 10 to 14 to enhance their hockey skills in a fun, social, and supportive environment. With centres available in every corner of New South Wales – from Sydney Metro to Northern, Western, and Southern NSW – there's a place for everyone to get involved.
COD is a 7-week program designed to engage young players in hockey through a variety of fun and exciting activities. It’s not just about training and skills, it’s about creating an environment where kids can have fun, make friends, and learn the game in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
Throughout the 7 weeks, kids will engage in a range of activities, from skill-building drills to mini-games. The focus is always on making sure the experience is both educational and fun, so players can develop at their own pace whilst having a great time.
In February the excitement reaches its peak with the annual Regional Challenge. This tournament-style competition brings together players from each centre across the state to showcase the skills they've learned throughout the program. It's the perfect chance for participants to test their new abilities in a friendly, competitive setting.
The Regional Challenge is a highlight of the COD program, where participants come together not just to compete, but to celebrate their progress and the friendships they've made along the way.
