We are inviting you to play for a day! 

As part of the "Hockey NSW Participation Strategy" and our continued commitment to growing hockey around the state, we are dedicated to providing opportunities for schools and their students to attend our Gala Days as a way of introducing them to the sport, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and creating a fun and safe environment.

What we want to do for your School & Students : To bring schools together in a positive carnival-style environment that celebrates participation, teamwork, and skill development while providing enjoyable hockey experiences and clear pathways to ongoing involvement.

Who is welcome and what do we need? : 

• Every school is welcome to attend - Note for small schools we are happy for you to combine with other small schools to attend together to make up numbers.
• Along side the local hockey community, Hockey NSW will be present assisting to develop coaching & umpiring volunteers. Some from local High schools students will assist.
• Should any of your students attending own their own equipment please encourage them to bring it along. Mouthgaurds are the necessity that cannot be provided by us. Please ensure all student bring thier own. 
• HNSW will also provide Balls and Bibs (for when uniforms clash). 
• We will also have the necessary equipment to assist if schools or student do not have sticks & shin pads.

What can you do now?:

• To register your interest simply submit this form. Please complete by 27.8.2026. The remaining prepartion will be based on attending numbers and further communications will follow including Draw, Rules, Resource for Foundation skill information. But this will be taught on the day so training is not a necessity. Any further documentation required will arrive in due course.
• Arrange your students permision and transportation to attend at Goulburn Hockey Centre on Thurs Sept 3rd 2026 From 10am-2pm. 
• Check if you have any school equipment.

What will it cost?:

• Nothing for the hockey. The Goulburn Districts Hockey Association have kindly donated the facility use for this day.
• Possibly your own transport.
• If the take-up is valid there is potential to co-ordinate pre-ordered lunches through the canteen.
