Team Manager Positions
Supporting the Delivery of a Positive Representative Team Experience

Hockey NSW is seeking Expressions of Interest from organised, committed and athlete-focused individuals to join the support teams for the 2027 NSW State and Blues Teams as Team Managers.

Team Managers play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of representative campaigns, ensuring athletes, coaches and families experience a professional, safe and well-organised program environment.

Successful applicants will contribute to the operational delivery of Hockey NSW Pathways & Performance Programs, working collaboratively with Hockey NSW staff, coaches, athletes, parents and support personnel to ensure teams are prepared and supported throughout the campaign.

Positions Available

Team Manager Male & Female Teams

• U14 State (2 positions) Blues (2 positions)
• U16 State (2 positions) Blues (2 positions)
• U18 State (2 positions) Blues (2 positions)
• U21 State (2 positions)
• NSW Country (2 positions)

Program Commitments

All successfully appointed Team Managers must be available to attend and actively participate in the compulsory program commitments associated with their respective age group. These commitments include:

State Team Training Sessions – Two (2) to three (3) weekends

• Country Championships - TBC

Applicants should ensure they can commit to the required program schedule prior to submitting an Expression of Interest.

• Understanding the responsibilities and expectations of managing athletes within a high-performance pathway environment
• Upholding the values, behaviours and standards expected of NSW representative teams

Application Process

The Hockey NSW appointment process will include the following stages:

1. Expression of Interest Submission
   Applicants submit their EOI outlining relevant experience, qualifications and suitability for the role.
2. Shortlisting & Interview
   Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an online interview (approximately 30 minutes) to discuss their experience and approach to the role.
3. Appointment & Onboarding
   Successful applicants will be required to attend a Hockey NSW onboarding induction process later in the year, providing key information regarding program expectations, policies and campaign requirements.
