Following our recent strategy workshop we developed a couple of different draft vision and purpose statements.

The options capture the themes and key words identified during the workshop as well as drawing on relevant source material from NSW Office of Sport and Sport Australia.

There are 4Â potential vision statements.

Please rank each statement from 1 to 4, with 1 being your favoured option and 4Â being your least favoured option.

Remember a VISION statement is;

â€¢ A compelling description of the organisation once it has implemented its strategic plan.

â€¢ It should PULL stakeholders to the organisation

â€¢ It should PUSH members to greatness

â€¢ It should be a BIG PICTURE statement

â€¢ It should be ASPIRATIONAL

DRAFT PURPOSE STATEMENT No.1 - Within the Hills Shire: Govern the game of hockey Grow the game of hockey Develop the game of hockey - players, coaches, umpires, officials and volunteers ((Based on the Hockey Australia and Hockey NSW purpose)

DRAFT PURPOSE STATEMENT No.2 - Conduct, encourage, promote, advance and administer the sport of hockey throughout the Hills Shire ((Based on the NSW Office of Sport suggested club objects)

DRAFT PURPOSE STATEMENT No.3 - To provide opportunities in the Hills Shire for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to participate in the sport of hockey (Based on Sport Australia guide)
